Set Font Dialog |
|
The Set Font dialog is used to set or change each of the following:
•Font (e.g., Arial, Courier or Times New Roman) •Style (bold, italic, underline, subscript or superscript) •Font size (e.g., 10 point or 12 point) •Render character case ("as typed" is the default, or select uppercase, lowercase, small caps or uppercase and small caps) •Underline style (underlining can include or exclude tabs, spaces and punctuation) •Font color
You can change settings for the entire document, for the portion of the document following the cursor or for selected text. If you want to apply the changes to the document starting at the cursor, place your cursor at the starting point before proceeding with the following directions. If you want to apply the changes to a portion of the document, select (highlight) the text to be modified before proceeding.
•You can click on more than one style (for example, italics and bold). •The Additive check box should be clear if you want the style you select to replace styles previously in place in the document and checked if you want the style you select to be in addition to styles already in place. See Additive/Non-Additive.
•Document Default - select font, font style and font size are made the default for the entire document •Insertion Point Forward - selected font, font style and font size are applied from the place of cursor to the end of the document •Other options, such as Selected Text, may be available..
The Set Font dialog cannot be used to add double underline and strike through. However, you can select these modes directly by clicking Format, Font and then the desired mode, or you can use keyboard shortcuts or the action line.
