The style of underlining can be changed so that when text is underlined, spaces and tabs are or are not underlined.  To control the style of underlining being used:

1Move the cursor to the place in the text at which you want the underlining style to change.
2Press F9 to access the action line.

UL 0   Underlines everything.

UL 1   Underlines everything but tabs.

UL 2   Underlines everything but tabs and spaces.

UL 3   Only letters and numbers are underlined.
