The instructions below show how to use menus or keyboard shortcuts to issue an that will change the case of text that has already been typed. Once the case is changed, there is no record of the command and no impact on text typed after changing the case. It is just as if the character had originally been typed in the case currently displayed.
Nota Bene also provides an option to issue an that will display and print text as all uppercase, all lowercase, all small caps or small caps and uppercase with small caps, while retaining the information about how the text was typed. Menus
| 1 | the block of text to be changed or place the cursor in front of one letter to be changed. |
| 3 | Select one of the following: |
| • | Change to Uppercase to change the block to all uppercase letters. |
| • | Change to Lowercase to change the block to all lowercase letters. |
| • | Change to Title Case to change the first letter of each word to uppercase and other letters to lowercase. |
| • | Toggle Case to change the case of each letter. |
Keyboard shortcuts
| 1 | Place the cursor in front of the first letter to be changed (or define the block to be changed). |
| 2 | Press one of the following key combinations. Press the key combination once to change one letter or hold the keys down to move the cursor forward changing the case as it goes. |
| • | Ctrl+Space bar to toggle between uppercase and lowercase letters. |
| • | Ctrl+Alt+Space bar to change to lowercase letters. |
| • | Ctrl+Alt+Shift+Space bar to change to uppercase letters. |
| • | Ctrl+Shift+Space bar to change to title case (the first letter of each word in uppercase, other letters in lowercase). |
