Automatic Sentence Case |
|
Nota Bene allows you to select an automatic sentence case option that will capitalize the first letter in each sentence. A letter will be capitalized if it immediately follows a period-space, a question mark-space or exclamation mark-space. Also, the first letter in the document and the first letter following a hard return or page break will be capitalized.
The program does not capitalize letters that are immediately after periods with no space, so letters after a period in a web or email address would remain lower case. However, the program can not distinguish between periods at the end of the sentence and periods that are at the end of an abbreviation. If you use this option, you may need to manually change some uppercase letters which will automatically be inserted following an abbreviation.
To set the automatic sentence case option, click Edit, Case, Toggle Auto Sentence Case.
Once you have selected automatic sentence case, it will remain active until you reverse the selection by clicking Edit, Case, Toggle Auto Sentence Case.
