“I keep a single database that includes every book I've come to own since I first started to use Nota Bene in its earliest days, plus the library books I consult, plus books I hear about one way or another that interest me, etc. From this master list I can generate sub-lists for the making of bibliographies, or books I want to read at long last on a particular topic, or to answer inquiries that come to me, or sometimes just browsing. It keeps me organized and prevents that "lost" feeling one sometimes gets from exposure to too many books.
I use [IbidPlus] also for maintaining my library of video tapes. I set up nine fields to suit me in each record. These include starting and stopping positions for each program (or film) that is on a given video casette. Each cassette is given a number. As of now, I have 81 numbered casettes containing over 300 individual program entries. Without [IbidPlus] I would never know how to find a particular program or movie that I've recorded. And even the pre-recorded ones, which are labeled, would require lots of tedious checking of spines while crawling the floor on my knees in front of the racks.”
Thank you, Ibidem, for making life easier.”

We here at Nota Bene shouldn’t sing our own praises (we’re letting others do that), but you might be interested to know that we use IbidPlus for both our customer and our orders databases. As you might imagine, both are the life blood of a software company—to manage such vital information, you need to be using something that you have complete and total confidence in. That’s why we’ve been using IbidPlus for nearly twenty years (earlier in DOS, and now in Windows).
