While this license already is more flexible than that offered by most other companies, we've gone one step further and created the following option: If a second person who is either a spouse/partner of the primary licensee, or their assistant (i.e., they are using the software for the primary licensee's benefit, and not primarily to do their own work) needs to use the software at the same time as the primary licensee, we will sell another license for only $100 ($125 for Lingua). That's about a third of the full cost of the program. The second copy is a full copy of the program, without any limitations either in terms of functionality or upgrade status. This copy can be delivered either via standard downlaod, or, for an extra fee, on CD.

Getting another license is especially important (if the usage conditions merit it) when a second person using the program requires that we spend extra time providing technical support, even if they themselves are not the one to call us asking for such help. Obtaining the second license is a small way of helping cover those expenses.

One other note: Although we do not sell second copies at this price to colleagues, students, and other people you might know who intend to use it primarily for their own work, we have no objection if your assistant after the fact decides that he or she wants to adopt Nota Bene as their own research tool. If that happens, you might want to transfer the license to them, rather than keeping it yourself, as you might want to do if you anticipate having replacement assistants down the line.
