Multilingual Hyphenation

Nota Bene offers hyphenation in multiple languages. The program will automatically hyphenate in different languages provided that all of the following controls are in place:

•Automatic hyphenation must be turned on. Click Proof, Hyphenation, Configure Tab, or see Auto Hyphenation.

•Dictionaries for the languages you wish to use must be installed. See Configure: Dictionary Tab.

•Language markers (LA commands) must be in the file to indicate which languages are active in different blocks of text. See Multilingual Spell Check.

Hyphenation uses the rules appropriate to the particular spelling variant of that language (if these differ). For example, if German traditional is selected for spelling German text, the matching hyphenation rules will be used.
