To enable Auto Hyphenation for an open document:
| 1 | Move the cursor to the top of the file or to the point at which you want your changes to take effect. |
| 2 | Click Proof, Configure Hyphenation |
| 3 | The Hyphenation dialog will appear. Click the Configure tab. |
| 4 | Click the Allow Auto Hyphenation box and use the slider control to adjust the number of letters for each of the following: |
| • | Smallest word to be hyphenated |
| • | Minimum number of characters before hyphen |
| • | Minimum number of characters after hyphen |
Auto hyphenation can also be enabled (or disabled) and adjusted by clicking Insert, Breaks and selecting the Lines tab. It can be enabled (or disabled), but not adjusted by clicking Format, Paragraph, Alignment and checking or clearing the Auto Hyphenation check box.
