Leader

 

A leader is a series of dots, dashes or another character that continues from the point of insertion to the right margin, or to text that is inserted at the right margin, after the leader. A leader consisting of spaces can be used to separate text that is flush left from text that is flush right. More than one leader can be used on the same line to separate text with equal amounts of space between each block of text. For more information, see Leader: advanced tips.

 

A character (e.g. a dot) repeated 3 times at the beginning of a line and followed by [Enter] will automatically be converted to a leader. Other easy ways to insert a leader are to press Shift+Tab followed by the character you want to use for the leader, or to use the LD command on the action line (LD followed by a space and the character you want to use for the leader). To use the menu to insert a leader:  

 

1Move the cursor to the point where you want to insert a leader.
2Click Insert, Other, Leader. The Insert Leader dialog will appear.
3Click on one of the radio buttons to indicate which leader you want to insert. If you choose radio button marked Other, you can type in any character to use as a leader.  
4Click OK
5Type in the text that you want to appear flush right at the end of the leader.
