Leader: LD command

 

A leader is a series of dots, dashes or other text that continues from the point of insertion on the same line until a number or other text is inserted flush right.  

 

To insert a leader:  

 

1Move the cursor to the point where you want to insert a leader.
2Press F9 to access the action line
3Type LD followed by a space and then the character you want to use as a leader.  
To enter a leader consisting of a line of dots, use the command LD . (LD followed by a space and then a period).
To enter a leader consisting of a line of dashes, use the command LD - (LD followed by a space and then a hyphen).
A leader consisting of spaces can be used to separate text that is flush left from text that is flush right on the same line.  To insert a leader consisting of spaces, use the command LD followed by two spaces.
4Press F10 to insert the leader.
5 After inserting a leader, the cursor will be flush right.  Type in the text that you want to appear at the end of the leader.
6If the command is still on the action line, subsequent leaders can be inserted by pressing F10 (steps 2 and 3 can be omitted).
