Framework Markers

Framework markers are yellow and green brackets that can be activated when a framework, outline or academic style is active in the open document. The yellow brackets mark the position of the beginning and end of the title or heading portion of a framework element and the green brackets mark the position of the beginning and end of the text portion of the framework element. The markers are visible on screen, but they do not print.

The framework markers can be shown or hidden in any of the following ways:

On the Options Bar, click to check or uncheck the Show [Heading] [Body] box in the Options section.
Press Shift+F3.
Click View, Framework Brackets.
Press the Toggle Framework/Outline Brackets Off/On button on the Document Views toolbar of the main Nota Bene screen.

To set the default setting for Framework brackets on or off, use the Framework/Outline Defaults dialog.
