The Column Styles dialog is used to set the formatting of each individual column in a table. It is accessed by clicking Format, Tables, Create (or Edit), and then clicking the Styles button on the Tables dialog.
| 1 | Click to highlight the column you wish to format. |
| 2 | Click the Font button to set the font, the font size and style (bold, italic, underline). The Set Font dialog will appear on your screen. For instructions on using this dialog, see Font Settings. |
| 3 | Click the Indentation, Alignment or Spacing buttons to make changes. The Paragraph Settings dialog will appear with tabs for Indentation, Alignment and Spacing. You can make changes to all 3 parts of this dialog by clicking on the tabs to move from one page in the dialog to another. For more information, see Paragraph Setup. |
| 4 | Click the Tabs button to make changes to the tabs. For more information, see Tabs. |
| 5 | Repeat steps 1-4 for each column that you want to format. |
| 6 | When you have made all of the changes that you want to make, click Close to return to the Tables dialog. |
