Ibidem Backup |
|
In Ibidem, as in any other program, it is important to protect your data by backing up your files regularly. Backing up your Ibidem database should be part of your backup of all important files. There are two ways to back up your database: (1) create an .NBB file or (2) manually copy database files. We recommend that you use both.
Backup/Restore by creating an .NBB file
The easiest way to back up your Ibidem database is to use the File, Backup Database function to create an .NBB file. Then make sure the .NBB file is saved in your backup location. See Backup Database (.NBB file).
To restore your database from an .NBB file, see Restore Database from .NBB File.
Backup/Restore by copying database files
Your Ibidem database consists of 20 or more files, all with the same name but different extensions, and all in the same folder. You may also have linked note-taking files. If you keep backup copies of all of these files, you will be able to restore your database on a new computer. See Backup Database (copy files).
To restore your database from database files, see Restore Database from Copied Files.
