Notes on Vista
Nota Bene is compatible with all of the 32-bit of versions of Vista. (64-bit
Vista and XP are available but not widely used.) To run Nota Bene on a 64-bit version of Windows, see the Windows 7 page.
To install Nota Bene on Vista, or to run it for the first time, you may need to run as an adminstrator. To do so, right click on the SETUP.EXE program on the CD, or in the “virtual CD” folder that is created during a download, and then click the Run as Administrator option. Thereafter, you should be able to start Nota Bene without reselecting this option.
Note that with the release of Nota Bene 9.0, the NB help system is fully compatible with Vista (and Windows 7) — it is no longer necessary to download WinHlp32.exe from Microsoft.
