Zotero: Import from Database |
|
If you have been using Zotero, records can be imported into an Ibidem database by saving your Zotero database in RIS format.
Ibidem will import individual Zotero items and entire Zotero libraries that are exported in .RIS format. By default, Zotero will save exported individual records and libraries to the following locations:
C:\Users\Yourname\Documents\Exported Items (Windows) and to the Desktop (Macs).
Zotero will assign the filename Exported Items.ris to individual items. For the sake of clarity and to avoid unintended overwriting of files, it is recommended that users add the exported item’s author’s last name to the filename before saving the file (e.g., Exported Items-Smith.ris).
Zotero will assign exported libraries the filename My Library.ris. Again, for the sake of clarity, it is recommended that users add an identifier to clarify the exported library file before saving (e.g., My Library-Aug-2020.ris).
