Zoom

The magnification or zoom setting enlarges or reduces the size of the display on your monitor. It does not affect the size of the text when printed.

The zoom default setting is 100% when the program is shipped. This may or may not be the best setting for you. Try experimenting with the zoom setting until you find the setting that is best for you. Once you find the right setting, you can then change the default setting so that documents will automatically be viewed with the setting you choose.

To change the zoom setting for the open file, use one of the following methods:

The zoom control is part of the Views toolbar. This tool bar is at the bottom of your screen (unless you have moved it or removed it from the screen). Use the slider control to increase or decrease the size of the display. Click the plus or the minus signs to increase or decrease the zoom, or click the down arrow next to the percentage that is displayed, to open the Zoom options menu.
Click the plus sign or the minus sign at the top of the scroll bar to increase or decrease the zoom by 10%.
Click View, Zoom to open the Zoom options menu. Select the magnification you want (e.g., 200%, 150%, 100%, 50% or up 5% or down 5%). You can also type in the value that you want.
Press Alt+< to reduce the size by 5% or press Alt+> to increase the size by 5%.

If you would like to change the default zoom setting so that all files are opened with a different zoom setting, this can be done in either of the following ways:

With a Nota Bene file open, choose the zoom setting that you wish to use as a default. The setting (e.g., 120%) will be displayed on the Zoom control at the bottom of your screen. Use the Zoom options menu  to select Set as Default. The Zoom options menu can be opened by clicking View, Zoom or by clicking the arrow on the zoom control at the bottom of your screen.
Click Tools, Preferences and then scroll down and double-click on Zoom.

You can also reduce the display instantly to the point where one full page or two full pages can be seen on the screen. For more information, see Full Page Preview..

The size of the text displayed in the Orbis entry pane can be increased or decreased by using the zoom control at the bottom right of the entry pane.
