ZOOM command

The zoom command is used to enlarge or reduce the size of the display on your monitor. It does not affect the size of the text when printed. This command affects the on-screen appearance of the currently open file only. If you close and reopen the file, the changes you made to the zoom factor are not retained. Zoom affects Page Layout View only. If you would like to change the default zoom setting so that all files are opened with a different zoom setting, this can be done through the Tools, Preferences menu. Click Tools, Preferences and then scroll down to Zoom.

You can also reduce the display instantly to the point where one full page or two full pages can be seen on the screen. For more information, see Nota Bene Views and Display.

There is no zoom option available for Ibidem or Orbis screens, but data-entry windows with enlarged display are available.

To change the zoom setting for the open file, for the remainder of the current Nota Bene session:

2Type zoom n where n = the desired size of the display, expressed as a percentage of the standard full-sized display. For example, the following command would set the display at 200% or double the standard setting of 100%.
zoom 200
