Track Changes Commands (TX) in Codes View |
|
The TX command is used to mark changes made when Track Changes is on. When Track Changes is on and any text is added, a TX+ command is inserted at the beginning of the block text that is added, and a TX command is inserted at the end of the block. When text is deleted, a TX- command is inserted at the beginning of the block of text that is marked for deletion, and a TX command is inserted at the end of the block. The TX+ or TX- or TX commands are followed by the name or initials of the Author of the changes and by a date and time stamp. Thus the following command would be found at the beginning of a block of text marked for possible addition.
«TX+,MB;12/02,9:10 AM»
MB is the author (as specified in the Track Changes Setup dialog) and the change was made on December 2 at 9:10 am (the format of the date can be modified in the Track Changes Setup dialog).
When changes are accepted or rejected, the TX commands are removed.
TX commands are normally inserted and removed by using the Track Changes options on the Proof menu, not by means of the action line.
