Scroll Bars

The vertical scroll bar is displayed on the right side of your screen. In addition, a horizontal scroll bar may be displayed at the bottom of your screen, and some dialog boxes will include scroll bars.

Vertical Scroll Bar: The vertical scroll bar is on the right side of the main Nota Bene screen. It is used to move up or down in the document. To scroll up or down, click the small triangular arrows at the top or bottom of the scroll bar, or click and drag the box in the middle of the scroll bar, or click in the gray area above or below the box. Nota Bene is designed so that when you use the scroll bar to move through a document, the cursor moves with the screen. Your cursor will always be on a page that is visible on your screen. In addition to the small arrow buttons, there are two buttons at the top of the vertical scroll bar and four buttons at the bottom:

Zoom buttons: The two buttons at the top of the scroll bar change the zoom setting for the displayed document. Click the plus sign or the minus sign at the top of the scroll bar to increase or decrease the zoom by 10%. The new setting will be reflected in the zoom control at the bottom of the screen. This will not change the zoom setting on other documents.

Navigation buttons: Four buttons at the bottom of the scroll bar move the cursor to the top of the document, one page up, one page down and bottom of the document.

Horizontal Scroll Bar: The horizontal scroll bar will be displayed at the bottom of your screen if your document is wider that the space available on screen. Use the slider control or the arrow buttons at the left and right ends of the scroll bar to move the text that is displayed to the right or left.
