Print/Display Annotations

Annotations can be displayed in the document as footnotes or endnotes. You can choose any series, either intermingling the annotations with notes, or using a separate note series. The annotations can be returned to non-printing annotations whenever desired.

The Annotations: Convert to Notes dialog is used to convert the annotations in a document to footnotes or endnotes. To open this dialog, click Format, Notes, Set Annotations, or click Insert, Annotation, Annotation Options or click the "Output Annotations as Notes" button at the bottom of the Annotations Dialog Bar.

In the Annotations: Convert to Notes Dialog, click to select which annotation type you wish to convert to notes and select which series of notes you would like to use. If you select a series that has not been defined, you will be prompted to define it and the Note Format dialog will open. Use the Note Format dialog to select footnotes or endnotes, and to make selections regarding formatting and numbering.

To return to non-printing annotations, open the Annotations: Convert to Notes dialog (as described above) and uncheck the annotations that you no longer want displayed as notes.
