You can maintain more than one phrase library by saving new sets of phrases to a new name. Phrase libraries are automatically given the extension .lib. You will then be able to load the library by pressing the Load button on any of the Phrases dialogs.
To save a set of phrases to a new name:
| 1 | Click Edit, Phrase Library, Insert or press Alt+F3. The Phrases: Insert dialog will appear. |
| 2 | Click Save. The Phrase Library: Save Active Phrases dialog will appear. |
| 3 | To save the phrases to a new name, click New. |
| 4 | Type in a file name with no extension. The .lib extension will be added automatically. |
| 5 | Use the dropdown list to select Automatic or Manual update status. Automatic will automatically save phrases that you add to the phrase library. Manual will save new phrases only when you click the Save button. |
| 6 | Type in a description if this would be helpful to you in identifying the phrase library (optional). |
| 7 | Click Save. The phrases will be saved to the name that you specified, but this library will not automatically be loaded. |
To load a new phrase library:
| 1 | Click Edit, Phrase Library, Insert or press Alt+F3. The Phrases: Insert dialog will appear. |
| 2 | Click Load. The Phrase Library: Load New Library dialog will appear. |
| 3 | Click to highlight the library that you want to load. |
A specific phrase library can be assigned to a document so that it will be automatically active whenever the document is open.
