Manage Phrase Libraries: SALIB command

When you first launch Nota Bene, the active phrase library is \nbwin\users\default.lib  This is also the library that all active phrases are saved to when you exit Nota Bene.  For these reasons, if you want to utilize multiple phrase libraries in  Nota Bene for Windows, you should not plan on utilizing default.lib, as it will always contain the phrases that were active (no matter what phrase library was loaded) when you closed Nota Bene.

Use the salib command to save the active phrases to a custom library.  Once you have the phrases assigned to various keys (see Phrase Library), use the following sequence:

1Press F9 to access the action line.
2Type salib c:\path\filename.lib where c is the drive you want to save to, path is the directory (and subdirectory, if applicable), and filename.lib is the file name of the library (all phrase libraries use the .lib extension).
3Press F10 to execute the command.

Although these phrases have been saved, they are still active in memory, and will be saved to c:\nbwin\users\default\.lib unless you clear them from memory before exiting.

Use the clrlib command to clear active phrases:

1Press F9 to access the action line.
2Type clrlib
3Press F10 to execute the command.

Use the ldlib command to load a phrase library:

1Press F9 to access the action line.
2Type ldlib c:\path\filename.lib where c is the drive, path is the directory (and subdirectory), and filename.lib is the file name of the library you want to load.
3Press F10 to execute the command.

You might want to create a subdirectory under the nbwin directory (or whatever directory you are using as your main program directory) just for phrase libraries to make it easier to manage your various phrase libraries.
