Old-Style Redlining (Before NB 8.0) |
|
In version 8.0, significant changes were made in the file structure for redlining, and the nomenclature was changed from "redlining" to "track changes." All of the commands (RED, PE, CE, PEV and CEV) work as they did in the previous versions.
If you are working on a document that was marked with redlining in versions 5, 6 or 7, the commands that are inserted in the document and visible in Codes View will be different that the commands inserted with version 8.0 (or subsequent versions). To accept or reject these changes, click Proof, Accept/Reject Changes. In the box at the top of the Accept/Reject Changes dialog, select "Old-Style (Before NB 8.0) Redlining." Then proceed with accepting or rejecting changes as described in the Accept/Reject Changes section of Track Changes.
If you want to use the action line to accept or reject changes that were made prior to version 8.0, you will need to add the /OL (for "Old") parameter to the PEF and CEV commands, as PEV/OL and CEV/OL.
If your document contains both old redlining (versions 5, 6 or 7) and new track changes, you will need to run through the process of accepting or rejecting twice.
