|
A non-breakable hyphen or space can be inserted to prevent the line from breaking at the hyphen or space. For example, if you want to make sure that Dr. Smith-Miller's name always appears on one line, a nonbreakable hyphen should be inserted. If you want to make sure that January 2 appears on one line, a nonbreakable space should be inserted between January and 2.
To insert a non-breakable hyphen, press F5 followed by the hyphen key.
To insert a non-breakable space, press F5 followed by the space bar.
Non-breakable hyphen or space can also be inserted by clicking Insert, Breaks or by clicking Insert, Characters. Click the hyphen or the space in the white box and then click on the Insert button.
