Ibidem Gateway

The first time you open Ibidem, you will see the Ibidem Gateway. This screen is your gateway to open a previously created database or to create a new one. You can access the gateway from the main Ibidem screen by clicking File, Ibidem Gateway or pressing Alt+I.

The available databases are listed in the middle of the screen. Double-click on a database to open it. Captured Web Records refers to a temporary database created by Archiva.

Details: If this box is checked, information about each database will be shown including the number of records, the last date accessed, and the location. Use the horizontal scroll bar to see all of the details. Click on any heading to sort by that heading.

Remove: Click the Remove button to remove the database from the list of available databases. This removes the database from the list, but it does not delete the database files. If you want to use the database in the future, you will be able to add database.

Open Selected: Click the Open Selected button (or double-click on a database) to open the database that is selected in the list of available textbases. This will take you to the main Ibidem Screen.

Add Database: If you have copied database files from another computer or if you wish to use a database that is available on a network or on the cloud, click the Add Database button to add it to the list of available databases.

Create New: Click the Create New button to create a new database. See New Database.
