Generate Subject Bibliography

 

Ibidem can generate subject bibliographies, with all contents of a field in your database listed as subjects, and all entries in the database containing the subject listed.

 

To generate a subject bibliography to an open document:

 

1Open the database from which you want to generate the bibliography.
2Click Generate, Subject Bibliography. The Generate Subject Bibliography dialog will display.
3Click on the Subject Field drop list to select the field containing the terms for the subject bibliography.
4Click on the Order and Type drop lists to define the sort order for the subjects.
5Click on the Characters arrow buttons to define the maximum number of characters for a subject.
6Click to choose the Database and Subset to use for the bibliography.
7Click to choose the Style for the bibliography from the Style list.
8Set the Order for the bibliography to your preference.
9Set the Options to your preference.
10Click OK and then View Results.

If the bibliography includes hyperlinks, including links to Note-Taking files, after the bibliography or report is generated, you will be given the option of replacing the name of the link (i.e., the Description) with the text of that link. Note that for note-taking files, only the actual notes (not the formatted reference, keyword area, or annotation) will be included. Click Yes to include the text of the link.
