Inserting a Frame

A frame is a window within a Nota Bene document that can contain text, a graphic image or material from another program. Text will wrap around the frame, and the frame can easily be moved or resized. A frame is automatically included when you copy/paste an image, so you do not need to insert the frame as a separate step. See Inserting an Image/Object.

If you want to insert a frame in your open document without inserting a graphic at the same time, click Insert, Frame, Insert Frame. The frame will be inserted. You can add text to the frame by clicking inside the frame and entering text. Format the text in the framed area just as you would format text in the main body of the document, using the menus, toolbars, keyboard shortcuts or action line. To see and edit formatting codes in a framed area, switch to Show Codes View (press Shift+F8 or click the Show Codes View button).

Once a frame has been inserted, you can move it by clicking on the frame and dragging it to a new position. You can change the size of the frame by clicking on it and dragging the edges. Or open the Edit Frame/Graphic dialog for many more options. See Editing Frames/Graphics in Place and Edit Frame/Graphic Dialog.
