Document Information

 

Document Information can be set up and maintained to keep track of basic information about an open document and to record comments and keywords for that document. To maintain and display document information:

 

1Click File, Document Info
2The Document Info dialog box will appear on your screen. Fill in all appropriate information:
Filename: provided by Nota Bene
Revision number: When a document is created the revision number is 1. Each time the file is changed and saved the revision number increases by one. Provided by Nota Bene.
Last saved by: The last person to edit the document. Provided by Nota Bene.                
Creation Date: The date and time the document was created. Provided by Nota Bene.
Last Saved Date: Provided by Nota Bene
Author: This field may be edited.
Project Number: This field may be edited.
Document Retention: The number of days a file is to be retained. This  number is for the user's information only. The file will not be deleted by Nota Bene. This field may be edited.
Comments:  May be used to search for a file or to display a selective directory. This field may be edited.
Keywords: May be used to search for a file or to display a selective directory. This field may be edited.  
Click the box marked Insert Information Into File if you want to insert the document information into the file at the point of the cursor. The document information will be inserted as static text (i.e. not automatically updated).  
4Click OK to accept changes.
