Delete Text

Text can be deleted either backwards, using the BkSp key or forwards, using the Delete key. To delete a block of text, define the block and then press Delete. Use the Delete and BkSp keys to delete text as follows:

Delete:  delete next character

BkSp:  delete previous character

Shift+Delete:  delete next sentence

Shift+BkSp:  delete previous sentence

Ctrl+Delete:  delete next word

Ctrl+BkSp:  delete previous word

Alt+Delete:  delete next paragraph

Alt+BkSp:  delete previous paragraph

Text can also be deleted as you type. Pressing Insert puts you in Overstrike Mode. In this mode, Nota Bene will replace characters with new ones as you type. Press Insert again to return to Insert Mode in which new characters are inserted at the cursor with previously typed characters remaining in place.

NB:  If you have selected the NB Persistent Selection option, the Delete key will delete the next character rather than the defined block of text. For more information, see Persistent selection option.
