Defining a New Style

 

To define a new style:

 

1Click Format, Styles, Create Edit Insert.
2The Styles dialog will appear on your screen. Click New.  
3The Set Style Type and Location dialog will appear. Select type of Style you want and the point at which it will be inserted in the document, then press OK.  See Set Style Type and Location dialog for a fuller explanation of the options presented in this dialog.  
4The Set Styles: Comprehensive and Partial dialog will appear. Use this dialog to name the style and to set the commands to be explicitly included in the style. See Set Styles: Comprehensive and Partial dialog for a fuller explanation of the options presented in this dialog.  
5Click OK.

 

When you set a style, an SS command is inserted in the document and you can see this command in Codes view. You can also enter and SS command using the action line. See Set Style: SS command.
