Tabula: Search Biblical Books

Tabula expands Orbis's searching capabilities so that you can search over multiple books in a biblical textbase. You can also perform multiple searches at once.

1Click Discover, Search Biblical Texts, or click on the red book icon to the left of the search field. This will bring up the Book Search dialog.
2 Select the range you want to search in. You can search the whole textbase you are in by checking Entire Bible. If you want to search just whole books at once, check Entire Book(s).  To search a range, use the entries below to set the book and chapter/verse range. The range assumes the canonical order of books.
3 Type the word you want to search for in the field labeled For. If you want to do a Boolean search, click on one of the operators below the For field. You will now have another For field you can search with. For each search group, you can search for up to four words linked by Boolean operators. The white box over to the right will display the total number of hits in textbase for the entry in the For field your cursor is in.
4 You can do up to 7 different range searches at once. You can add a new search group by clicking on the Add Group button in the lower left-hand corner. For each, go through steps 1-3 above.
5 When you have all the Groups set up, click OK to execute.
