Customize Database Pane

The database pane, one of three main panes displayed on the Ibidem Screen, provides you with a list of each record in the active database. Summary information about the records is shown in a table format and can be sorted by clicking the column label. By default, a bibliographic database has four columns in the database pane: Record number, Author, Year and Title. The record number column must always be the first column. The Author, Year and Title columns are all Index Keys. Index Keys are used so that the records can be sorted.

The Database Pane tab of the Properties dialog can be used to select or change the summary information that will appear in the database pane. To open this dialog, click File, Properties and click the final tab on the right.
