Rename command

To change the name of a stored file:

1Press F9 to access the action line
2Type rename d:\path\oldname.nb,d:\path\newname.nb where d: is the drive and path is the directory location of the file and oldname is the old file name and newname is the new file name.
3Press F10 to rename the file.

Nota Bene will change the name of the stored file to the new name specified.  If no drive or directory are specified, Nota Bene assumes that the file you are renaming is on the current drive and directory. Nota Bene does not recognize wild card characters with the rename command in the same way DOS does. However you can include an asterisk (*) in the target file specification if you want to retain part of the original file name. An example of this is rename file.nb,*.new The new file name would be file.new
