Parallel Text Columns

Parallel text columns are regular tables (with or without borders) that can contain lengthy paragraphs in each cell. Parallel text columns are often used for translations, with one language in the first column and the translated text in the second. Begin a new row at places where you want the parallel texts in the column to align.

To create parallel text columns, place your cursor in the file where you want the table to begin and click Format, Parallel Texts, Create. The rest of the process is the same as creating a table. See Tables.
