Orbis Gateway |
|
The first time you open Orbis (click Tools, Orbis to open Orbis), you will see the Orbis Gateway. This screen is your gateway to open a previously created textbase or to create a new one. You can access the gateway from an open Orbis textbase by clicking File, Orbis Gateway or by pressing Alt+O or by clicking the Textbases button in the top right corner of the Orbis screen.
The available textbases are listed in the middle of the screen. Click on a textbase to select it.
Details: If this box is checked, information about each textbase will be shown including the last date accessed, the number of files, folders, entries and characters, and the location. Use the horizontal scroll bar to see all of the details.
Remove: Click the Remove button to remove the textbase from the list of available textbases. This removes the textbase from the list, and deletes the index and management files that were created when you created the textbase. (Your documents that were included in the textbase are of course not removed or affected in any way.)
Open Selected: Click the Open Selected button to open the textbase that is selected in the list of available textbases. This will take you to the main Orbis Screen.
Create New: Click the Create New button to create a new textbase. This will take you to the Create New Textbase Dialog.
