Open a DOCX file in Nota Bene |

The File Open dialog in Nota Bene can be used to open a DOCX tile. Click File, Open, browse to the DOCX file, and click Open. The file will open as an untitled Nota Bene file.
When you attempt to save the file, the program will suggest the same name as the DOCX file and a .NB extension and it will suggest the same location. . You can choose the default location for the NB versions of the DOCX files that you open by going to Tools, Preferences, File Import. Or you can use File, Save As to save an individual file in a folder of your choosing.
If the DOCX file is an academic paper (i.e., if it contains footnotes), you will be given the opportunity to add an academic style to it. See Add an Academic Style.
If the DOCX file has Zotero citations, you will be given the opportunity to add those records to your Ibidem database, and simultaneously, to make them dynamic Ibidem citations in the converted document. See Import Zotero Citations.
