Units of Measurement |
|
Nota Bene provides you with ten different units of measurement. Four units of measurement are available for calibrating the Ruler (inches, centimeters, points and 1/12 inch). Each unit of measurement has a two letter abbreviation that can be used in dialog boxes or on the action line whenever measurements are specified. Abreviations can be entered in either uppercase or lowercase letters. If any commands are entered on the action line without units, the program will use the default units. To use a unit of measurement on the action line, add the two letter abbreviation immediately after the value, with no space.
By default, Nota Bene uses inches (IN) for horizontal measurement and lines (LI) for vertical measurement and inches for calibrating the Ruler. To change the default settings, click Tools, Preferences, Measurement Units.
The units of measurement and their abbreviations are as follows:
LI (lines) is used only for vertical measurement.
