When Nota Bene is delivered to you, there are numerous default settings in place that control the font that will be used in your documents, font size, units of measurement, methods of automatic backup, the size and shape of your cursor, and many other settings. Many of these preset options can be changed to suit your preferences. To change default settings or preferences:
| 1 | Click Tools, Preferences. |
| 2 | The Preferences dialog will appear on your screen with a list of settings that can be changed. Double-click the setting you want to inspect or change, or click once and then click the Set button. |
| 3 | The dialog for that setting will appear on your screen. Make whatever changes you want and click OK to implement the changes or Cancel to ignore any changes. |
| 4 | The Preferences dialog box will reappear. If you want to inspect or change another setting, repeat steps 2 and 3. |
| 5 | When you have finished making all changes, click Close. |
