The action line provides a quick and easy way to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
| 1 | Press F9 to access the action line. |
| 2 | Enter the first number of your operation followed by a mathematical function [addition:+, subtraction:-, multiplication:*, division: /]. Enter the next number of your operation. You can keep entering numbers and mathematical functions this way and the action line will follow the order of operations. Parentheses can be used to indicate the order of operations as shown in the examples below. After entering numbers and operations, follow your equation with an equals sign (=). Do not include any spaces. |
| 3 | Press F10 to complete the calculation. The result will appear on the action line after the equals sign. |
| 2*(2+3)+5= [Nota Bene will add the answer 15 after you press F10] |
| 2*2+3+5= [Nota Bene will add the answer 12 after you press F10] |
