Keyboard Shortcuts

Nota Bene is designed to provide fast keyboard control. There are many keyboard shortcuts that allow you to issue commands with an easy key combination.

Nota Bene uses Windows standard commands that are used by most Windows applications. Examples are Ctrl+S (save), Ctrl+U (underline), Ctrl+B (bold), Ctrl+I (italics), Ctrl+C (copy), Ctrl+V (paste). In addition, Nota Bene has added many more key combinations. For example, Ctrl+Spacebar will move the cursor through the text changing the case -- upper case to lower case and vice versa. Shift+Alt+F1 will insert a counter (1, 2, 3, etc.).

Instructions for using keyboard shortcuts are found throughout the Help files on the pages that describe how to use the menus to issue various commands. In addition, many keyboard shortcuts can be seen on right side of the drop-down menus. Once you learn the keyboard shortcut, you can use it instead of the menu. To see a chart showing all key assignments, click Help, Key Charts. Click each of the four buttons at the top of the chart to see all of the key assignments.
