Image Links

Links to JPGs or other images can be added to records in your Ibidem database. You will then be able to open the image directly from the bibliographic record in Ibidem. This feature can be used to add a link to an image of a book cover, or to any other image or images.

To add an link to a record in your Ibidem database:

1Open the bibliographic database and select the record for which you want to add the image link.
2Open the Links dialog in one of the following ways:
Click the Create New Link button (a multi-colored button on the Ibidem toolbar at the top of the screen).
Click Links, New.
Right-click in the Note Link field, then click New Link.
3In the Links dialog, select Images Linked to Record.
4Click the browse button (three dots) and browse to the image file that you want to select. Choose the file type (e.g. JPG).
5Click OK.

A green link to the image will be placed in the Image Links (I>) field for the Ibidem record. You can add as many image links as you want.

To open an image link:

1Open the bibliographic database and select the record for which you previously added an image link.
2Open the image in one of the following ways:
Click on the green link to give that field focus, then double-click on the green link.
Click Links, Open (or press Ctrl+K), select the link to open, and click Open.
