Go To

The Go To dialog bar can be used to move to certain defined places in a document, e.g., to a page, heading, footnote, etc. To open this dialog bar, click Edit, Go To or press Ctrl+G. In the main window at the top of the dialog bar there is a list of the different types of places that you can go to. Click to highlight one of the listed items. You will see that the active controls vary depending on the item chosen. Click on the heading of the list to sort the Go To items alphabetically.

The Go To dialog bar remains open until you close it so that you can move back and forth between your document and the dialog. Press Esc to return to your document, or use your mouse to move back and forth between the document and the Go To dialog. The Return Start button closes the Go To dialog and returns your cursor to where it was when you first opened the Go To dialog (even if you have, for example, moved through 30 footnotes). Click Close to close the dialog, leaving the cursor in its current position.

You can also use the GO command on the action line to move to a new page. See Go To: GO command.
