Authority List/Subject Headings with Record Numbers Dialog

To open the Authority List/Subject Headings with Record Numbers dialog, click Generate, Authority List, Record Numbers. See Generate Authority List for more information.

The following options and settings are available on the Authority List/Subject Headings with Record Numbers dialog:

Subject Field

The subject field contains the terms to be alphabetized in the authority list. You can use any field in the database as the Subject Field for your authority list.

Order

Defines the order in which to sort the authority list. You can sort the terms in the authority list in descending (z-a) or ascending order (a-z).

Type

Defines the field as contain alphabetic or numeric characters.

Characters

This option lets you limit the number of characters to use in sorting the list.

Database and Subset

The database and subset containing the records to be included in the authority list.

Record Numbers

Set the options to your preference for the output.

Include Count

Check this option to include the number of records containing a term in the authority list.
