The Find All button on the Find/Replace bar can be used to show all search matches in the file simultaneously. The matches will be highlighted in the file and shown in the Find All Popup dialog on the right side of the screen.
| 1 | Click Edit, Find/Replace or press Ctrl+F to open Find/Replace dialog bar at the top of your screen. |
| 2 | Enter the word or phrase you want to search for in the Find box. |
| 3 | Click the Find All button at the top left of the Find/Replace bar. |
| 4 | The All Matches in File dialog bar will open on the right side of the screen showing all matches, and the matches will be highlighted in the file. |
| • | Click once on a match to display the details at the bottom of the dialog bar. |
| • | Click twice on a match to go to the match in the document. |
| • | As new text that matches the search request is typed in the document, it becomes highlighted as well. |
| • | Click the Refresh icon at the top right corner of the dialog to refresh the search if you have made changes to the document. |
| • | To clear the highlighting in the file, press Esc (depending on state, may need to press Esc twice), or click the light bulb icon at the top of the dialog bar. |
| • | If the file changes so that the list no longer matches, you will be prompted to update the list when you try to go an item in the file. |
| 5 | Click the Configure icon at the top left of the All Matches in File dialog bar to select various display options, including options for highlighting and for which elements (notes, headers, etc.) are searched. Any changes that you make will be in effect for all Find All searches until you change it. |
