Find All Popup (Ctrl+Shift+F)

Find All Popup can be used to search a displayed file. To open Find All Popup, open the file to be searched and click Edit, Find All in File or press Ctrl+Shift+F. This dialog can also be opened from the Find/Replace (Ctrl+F) dialog by clicking the Find All button.

If your cursor is on a word, that word will automatically be searched when you open the Popup Find All dialog. To search a different word, double-click on that word on the document or enter it in the box at the top of the dialog. All of the instances of the word will be shown and the matches will be highlighted in the file.

Click once on a match to display the details at the bottom of the dialog bar.
Click twice on a match to go to the match in the document.
As new text that matches the search request is typed in the document, it becomes highlighted as well.
Click the Refresh icon to the right of the search box to refresh the search if you have made changes to the document.
To clear the highlighting in the file, press Esc (depending on state, may need to press Esc twice).
If the file changes so that the list no longer matches, you will be prompted to update the list when you try to go an item in the file.

Click the Configure icon at the top left of the All Matches in File dialog bar to select various display options, including options for highlighting and for which elements (notes, headers, etc.) are searched. Any changes that you make will be in effect for all Find All searches until you change it.

Click on a search result to display it in context in the box at the bottom of the dialog.

Recent searches can be displayed or hidden by clicking the +/- box to the left of the Find box. When displayed, you can return to a previous search term by clicking on it.

An open file can also be searched by clicking Edit, Find/Replace or press Ctrl+F4. Use this method if you wish to find a term and replace it with another term. See Find and Replace.

An Orbis button at the top of the dialog will take you to Popup Orbis. Use Popup Orbis for a multi-file search. See Popup Orbis.
