EndNote

If you have been using EndNote bibliographic software, records can be imported from your EndNote database to your Ibidem database.

The first step is to use EndNote to create an export file. You may want to refer to "Exporting References" in EndNote Help to supplement the instructions below.

1Open your EndNote database.
2At the top of the EndNote screen, set the export style to EndNote Export.
3 Select the bibliographic records that you wish to export.
4Click File, Export and make the following selections, and then click Save:
Select the location (folder) for the file that will contain the records you want to export
Enter the File Name for the export file that you are creating.
Select Text File (txt) as the Save As Type.

Remember the name and location that you selected in step 4.

Once your export file is created, use the Import Records dialog to import the records. Open Ibidem, open the database to which you wish to add the records and click File, Import Records. For more detailed instructions on this dialog, see Importing Records.
