Assisted Hyphenation

When justification is turned on, Nota Bene adds microspaces between letters and words, as specified on the Format, Paragraph, Alignment tab (when the Justify checkbox is checked). The amount of white space on a line is of course determined by the content of the text on a line. Sometimes the needed amount is minimal, sometimes it is significant. There is an option that lets you visually identify those lines where white space in excess of a specified amount (for example, half an inch) is required.

You can specify the amount of white space which qualifies a line as being "loosely set" on the same Format, Paragraph dialog (on the Alignment tab, when Justify is checked). All lines that exceed that amount of space have an underlined green line drawn at the line end. The length/width of the line is equivalent to the amount of white space inserted. Longer lines indicate more white space was added on that line, and you may choose to change this by manually adding a hyphen.
