The Apparatus Tab of the Tables dialog is for use with Research Results Tables. With your cursor in the research results table, click the Apparatus tab of the Tables dialog.
Title/Caption: Unchecking the Title/Caption box will remove any title or caption, including the "Table #" that was added automatically when the research results table was created. If the box is checked, a title can be typed directly into the file, following the table number. Click to check the boxes to include a chapter number and/or to move the title to the next line. Click the Set Format icon to make changes to the format of the title.
Critical Apparatus: This section of the Apparatus tab can be used to add a source from Ibidem or to add notes.
| Source: Once a research table has been created, the Apparatus tab will open automatically if you place your cursor just under the table. To add a source, go to Ibidem (click the Ibidem icon or press F7). and select the source that you wish to add. Return to the main screen (click the Nota Bene icon or press F9) and place your cursor just under the table. Click the Source check box and then click the Paste Citation icon on the right. The source will be added. Finally, edit the source by replacing ## with the actual page number. Click the Set Format icon to make changes to the format of the title. |
| Note (General): Click the Note (General) check box to type a note. The word Note will appear (in italics) and you can add your note. |
| Note (Specific): Specific notes use Nota Bene's third note series. Click the blue i for information and instructions. |
| Note (Probability): Probability notes can be added. Click the blue i for information and instructions. |
