Using Nota Bene Help

Nota Bene Help is designed to help you learn to use the program, both by providing both conceptual overviews and detailed step-by-step instructions. It is recommended that new Nota Bene users read every page in the Introduction and Overview section and then read the Overview pages in each of the major sections.

On-screen Help is opened by clicking Help, Nota Bene Help on the top of any of the Nota Bene screens or by pressing F1. You can find the topic you need by using the Contents or the Index in the panel to the left of the main Help screen. In the Contents, click the plus sign to the left of any topic to display subtopics.

The size of of displayed text in Nota Bene Help can be increased or decreased. Click in any Help screen and press Ctrl+[+] to increase the size or Ctrl+[-] to decrease the size or Ctrl+0 to return to the default size. (Use the + or - or 0 keys at the top right of your keyboard.)

Nota Bene Help is also available on our web site: https://www.notabene.com/help/.  The display is slightly different, but the content is the same. You can set this web version as your default by clicking Tools, Preferences, System Configuration, and checking the Use Web Version of Help box.

You can also learn about Nota Bene by using the following resources, all of which are available on the Help menu:
