Suppressing Notes

Nota Bene is constantly recomposing files as you work. If you have lots of footnotes or endnotes, you may prefer to suppress the display of these elements so as to reduce the amount of active processing that goes on as you write or edit. To suppress notes, click Format, Notes, Suppress Notes.

You can still insert notes as you regularly would.
If Info Tips are on (Help, InfoTips), the content of the notes can still be seen when you move the cursor over them.
You can open a note to edit it by moving the cursor to the note call number and pressing F3.

After suppressing notes, you can redisplay the notes by clicking Format, Notes, Redisplay Notes.
